- Winners will be called Saturday. There will be no Buy-It-Now (BIN) table in August.
Due to popular demand, the sale will feature a $1 Special table that will include vintage, adult nonfiction, oversized/ coffee table books, and more!
Friday Members' Night (Numbers Available for Members’ Night August 7 starting at 9 am):
- Memberships may be purchased that night at the sale or in advance online at https://www.ahml.info/friends ($5 individual, $10 family).
- To get a place in line early, members may pick up a number at the 2nd floor reception desk beginning Friday August 7 at 9 am.
Friday Members’ Night Line-Up: Shoppers should arrive 15 minutes before the sale begins to line up in numerical order for entry. Members may enter using their paper or digital card or a number from the Membership table, after those with numbers have gone in.
Sale Requirements & Information:
- Scanning is not allowed at FOL sales on any device. Please call or text outside the salerooms.
- Children's Sale Only: 25% Teacher discount with valid ID. Not valid at bag sale on Sunday.
- Everyone's patince and courtesy to others is appreciated.

- The 2026 Friends Summer Book Fair will be held at the Family Arena, 2002 Arena Parkway, St. Charles, MO 63303. Enter at Gate 2
- Nearly 30,000 square feet filled with the best bargains in town! At this location, customers shop in comfort with wide aisles, cool temperatures (no matter how hot it gets outside), and plenty of convenient free parking.
Special Notes for 2026:
- The 2026 Fair will NOT offer a large order staging area as in past years.
- Donations are not accepted at the Fair.
The 2026 Friends Book Fair will include a silent auction. The auction will be available online and in person with a QR code during the fair and will feature some of the more valuable materials that were donated this year. Auction hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm n Friday at the Book Fair

We restock every day so you get multiple chances to hunt for that one book in the series you just haven’t found yet! (Still can’t find it? Feel free to ask a volunteer or your fellow shoppers while you’re browsing. Book lovers have to stick together.) (Don’t feel like talking? No problem. Book lovers also know when to be quiet and give another reader some space.)

During our sale, we close down much of our online store and bring the inventory to the sale, at a discounted rate.
We reserve the right to limit quantities
To avoid backlogs and confusion, we reserve the right to require buyers of large quantities to periodically pay for items and remove them from the building.
A BOOK OFF THE TABLE IS CONSIDERED SOLD. Be sure of your selections. You may not remove a pile of books to another area of the sale to 'review' before deciding which ones you wlll buy.
NO carts, strollers, or wagons may be used in the Main Room.
Scanners (handheld, finger held, cyborg eyes, and any other price checking devices) are not permitted in some sections, including CDs, DVDs, and Charly's Corner.
Credit cards are accepted.
